The Powderpuff is covered in a double, soft and silky coat that should be straight and of medium length and density. The Hairless has hair on its head or "crest", its feet or "socks" and its tail or "plume". This is commonly referred to as the dog's "furnishings". The Chinese Crested is not a true hairless breed and for this reason, the amount and placement of body hair can vary from one dog to the next.
