Photo: Netflix. I sat down with my husband recently to watch the first episode, and after I did, I had a few thoughts. The original series aired on Bravo from a kitschy and colorful little show in which five fabulous gay men kidnapped a slovenly straight dude and taught him the ways of the Gay Force. The gays would give the straight slob a makeover: a cool haircut , some better outfits , tips on healthy eating and entertaining, even a renovated bachelor pad. The show was popular, even downright progressive for its time. It celebrated gay men and everything they brought to the table even if it was skill sets that were largely affirmations of stereotypes.

Every time I fell for a bro I became a total emotional mess. But the thing is, falling in love with straight guys and having sex with straight guys are totally different things. Findings from a recent study published in the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology , however, suggest I may be underestimating my gaydar abilities. The January study investigated people's ability to identify homosexual men from pictures of their faces alone. In an initial experiment, researchers Nicholas Rule and Nalini Ambady from Tufts University perused online dating sites and carefully selected 45 straight male faces and 45 gay male faces.
I don't know but the way the definition is described in the screenshot just sound really gay if u doing that to the same gender knowing you straight complementing how beautiful they are. Irrelevant as with most Internet language definitions are not solid some sense them out off brief sarcasm or to indercate i love something u posted or the same way a cartoon would throw it up when seeing somthung without actully meaning they love that person the same way if a girl randomly sent me heart eye I wouldn't assume she loves me as thats a stretch on its own. I understand but I am a person who will stick with the original meaning of that word, because people have a tendency to use it in any context that dictates is original meaning. Thats fair enough but when more people use a word to the point that its original meaning is not what is 1st thought off then holding to that definition when talking to others means nothing as language is a ever evolving thing.
